Fully Accredited Asbestos Testing and Surveys

ENV is fully accredited by UKAS to BS EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard – this enables us to conduct Management Asbestos Surveys and Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveys in full compliance with HSE guideline HSG264 and our documented in-house procedures.

ENV’s team of asbestos surveyors are all trained by BOHS and have extensive experience in managing asbestos in all types of buildings and situations. We have our own inhouse Asbestos testing laboratory which is fully UKAS-accredited asbestos testing lab that enables us to test a huge range of samples and materials for the presence of asbestos.

ENV Surveys Asbestos Services

Asbestos Management Surveys
An Asbestos management survey is the standard survey. Its purpose is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any asbestos containing materials in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, (including foreseeable maintenance) and to assess their condition.
Refurbishment and Demolition Asbestos Surveys
This type of survey should be carried out prior to any refurbishment or demolition works. It is used to locate and describe, as far as is reasonably practicable all asbestos containing materials within the areas surveyed.
Asbestos Testing
Asbestos was used in thousands of building products; the only way to determine if asbestos is present is through asbestos testing in a UKAS accredited laboratory.

Our experienced surveyors /analysts carry out the sampling of suspect material in accordance with HSE Guidance Notes HSG 248 and HSG264, and documented, UKAS accredited in-house procedures. The samples are then analysed in accordance with HSG 248 and in-house procedures, using both stereo microscopy and polarised light microscopy.

Asbestos Awareness Training
ENV Surveys Ltd is a specialist asbestos surveying company who offer UKAS accredited services. We also provide Asbestos Awareness Training in full accordance with Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012.
Asbestos Management Plans
It is the duty holder’s responsibility to manage and prioritise the risk associated with these asbestos materials and to prepare a long term asbestos management plan, as required under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Asbestos Removal Project Management
On many of the smaller asbestos removal projects the client is often happy to oversee the works themselves, however where the removal works are more complex, or of a larger scale, our clients often want an extra level of reassurance that the contract is being completed to the standard required.
Asbestos Air Testing
ENV has fully equipped mobile laboratories where analytical work can be carried out on site providing immediate results for our clients. All air test certificates are electronically produced, emailed directly to the client and, also printed on site enabling a review of the certificate before the analyst leaves site.
